Digital cameras make photos that are crisp and TV screen glass like. Not like the dusty lives and worlds we live in. I didn’t use digital cameras very often. I preferred film. But digital cameras were right for the dark interiors of Roman churches and they were just right for the bright light of City Beach. City Beach a ten minute drive from home. It’s Zen beauty compelling; minds empty and fill with vast cerulean blue. Sogyl Rinpoche wrote that minds are like oceans. Waves and thoughts emerge then are taken back by the ocean, the mind and returned to their endless, restless cycle. True nature is when then are no waves no thoughts. A giant seal surfaces. looks me in the eye. How long can you hold your breath for? asks the seal.
